  Have you ever been told that you're on your phone too much? As apart of gen z I am very familiar with that statement. in today's day of age, we have become consumed by not only the technology but social media as well. according to Nicole Martin of Forbes, she says "It’s the age of “fake news” and gone are the days of waiting for the morning news for breaking stories or reading gossip magazines for the latest celebrity dirt." showing that we literally have news at our fingertips and like news that is aired on television the news we receive on our mobile devices can also be fake, which can make us social zombies or oblivious to what is actually is going on around the world. As a form of rebuttal, with having social media I have learned a lot of things that a teacher or television hasn't taught me so when asked is "social media zombifying society?"
